More information about REACH for Nepal Foundation: REACH for Nepal Foundation helps improve the lives of Nepalese people through projects that enable villages to become self-sustaining and provide children opportunities for quality education, good health, and values to provide them opportunities to improve the livelihood of coming generations.

The Canberra-based Foundation was established after the 2015 earthquakes with objectives being defined in its acronym Rebuild, Educate, Assist, Children/Communities providing Hope for Nepal.

In March 2024 a group of like-minded ladies will travel to Nepal. Through this fundraising, we aim to provide professional sanitation & hygiene information & supplies to the Mother's Group of a chosen village. We also aim to provide much-needed school uniforms, winter jackets & shoes to approximately 40-50 children in the village and surrounding areas. Through this fundraising, the well-being of the community will improve sickness and death related to dysentery and other related illnesses will be reduced.

The children of Nepal are required to wear school uniforms to attend school and they often have to walk several kilometers from their homes to attend school. The inability of families to fund the purchase of these uniforms and having shoes to allow them to make the long journey to school ultimately prevents their children from gaining an education which, in turn, improves their chances of breaking the cycle of poverty and living a better life.

By raising these funds we WILL make a difference!! The REACH For Nepal Foundation will assist us in identifying and prioritising the recipients of our aid and also deliver the items. Together we will visit the chosen village to engage with the community.
