Aid mission for Ukrainian refugee women & children

On the 8th March 2022, we embarked on a humanitarian aid mission to Stalowa Wola in Eastern Poland with a 7.5t truck full of supplies, all dontated from the kind people mainly from the Portsmouth area and we are pleased to say they were taken directly to the centres looking after the displaced, orphaned children of Ukraine, that are being temporarily acocmodated and cared for in Stalowa Wola.

We created this page to raise funds to further support and directly help the orphaned and displaced children and those helping out/ suffering at the front line of support.

 

The costs of the travel, including truck hire, fuel, eurotunnel, hotels and any other costs associated with the transport and logistics, were covered by myself and Steve Holland. So anything else raised will go straight to a good cause.

 

Thank you for all the donations received so far.  As we write this update on the 11th April, we have raised over £8.5k and we would love to hit our target of £10k.  We all know there are people out there in need and anything we can do to help will benefit them.

With the funds raised, we plan to deliver more essential aid to the help children that are suffering and displaced, potentially in Romania and Moldova - we are investigating this further with a charity but should have a clear plan by the end of April, with intentions to carry out another mission in May.  A further update will follow with more detail.
