A Palestinian woman, a widow and mother of four

My name is Mona Abdel Hakim 42, a Palestinian woman who has been living under relentless bombing and warfare for over 330 days. I am a widow; I lost my husband and two of my children when our home was bombed. Their bodies have been buried under the rubble of our home for over 200 days, and the pain in my heart is unbearable because I was unable to say goodbye or give them the burial they deserved—one of the most basic human rights.

Now, I am left with four children who depend on me. We live under extremely harsh conditions, residing in a tent where I struggle to provide even the basic necessities such as food and clean drinking water. We have been displaced from our tent over five times due to the ongoing violence.
