Humanitarian nursing in Ghana

Hi, my name is Taegon Collins. I am a second year nursing student at Anglia Ruskin University. I am volunteering in Ghana in August 2023, where I will get experiences with conditions like acute malaria, diabetic gangrene (and resulting amputations), typhoid psychosis, even the occasional snake bite. I will get experience in familiar areas like the ED, General Medicine, Orthopaedics and Diabetes and Hypertension clinics, but the approach to delivering care will differ from what I am used to.
