The name used below is a pseudonym to protect the privacy of our Gazan friend. It is according to her wishes that the name was invented. This was clearly highlighted in the original plea from day one. Unfortunately, Hamna is still getting bombarded with queries on this. I will continue to use the name Hamna so rest assured it is the very same person most of you have known for years before Oct 7.

Dear All Supporters, Contributors and Good Friends of Hamna

First of all I would like to thank you all from the deep of my heart for supporting my cause in the bid to help the poor Gazans whom Hamna supports through these contributions. Every penny has helped their survival and we can't think or comprehend what this means to those in desperate need. They are so thankful. I find them so humble.
None of us thought the war would linger on this long and the situation would become such inhumane that these people would be struggling to breathe clean air. You also know that these people have no prospects at all and their only lifeline is us. Our generous contributions affords these people the bare necessities. Each time funds diminish, we have to start sending out pleas. Most people aren't so sure that funds actually reach the people on the ground and quite rightly so, as we also know that aid is taken in and then sold off, when it lands in the wrong hands, as opposed to it being distributed through the right channels to the needy. It is hence that people hesitate to contribute. It hurts but we can't impose on everyone.
Everything is beyond complicated and I'm just bewildered how these people survive. Surely, they have nerves of not steel but iron and their spirit continues to shine. Their resilience, their perseverance, their patience, their strength and many more qualities are unique. They are teaching us the name of survival in the most extreme conditions and most of us wouldn't be able to stand in the same conditions. I mean the torment is just next level inhumane.
It becomes very difficult when funds diminish as begging feels embarrassing. I have therefore come up with an idea and thought to make a proposition to the regular contributors. Those of you who agree and feel it's affordable, please contribute so that we know Hamna has sufficient funds to feel comfortable. She doesn't hesitate to help others around her. Most of the people think she's a humanitarian worker on behalf of an organisation. That's just sweet how she cares about others when herself and her family are suffering and scrambling for the bare necessity to feed their hunger.
So the idea is: A request for around 15 to 20 regular contributors ranging from £100 - £5 on a monthly basis depending on affordability level. I'm pledging £50 - £100 myself and let's say on the 15th of each month so I can send out two monthly lump sums to Hamna. One on the 15th and one on 1st of each month. That way, we will know that our beloved Palestinian families are getting the basics and this is down to those of us who choose to contribute and offer our help. Basic food items cost four to five times the normal price hence money diminishes fast. Please feel free to email me directly if would like to. Most of you who contribute know every penny, less the fees, is handed over to Hamna. She can confirm this. I feel it's now my duty to continue this until conditions improve and I'm sure most of you become worried when Hamns goes quiet due to no internet. At least she's still alive, not safe but it's all in God's hands. We hope she lives long, and is able to come out of this misery and is able to live a life like us. Be able to earn and feed herself and her family and do the normal things that us humans do.
I thank you all in advance and hope you can consider my plea so at least we have regular monthly funds to send to our good friend who helps everyone else around her.

My beautiful friend and sister 'Hamna' and her family' are still living under the noise and blasts of bombs. It is by Allah's decree that she and her family are still alive. She's lost many friends, cousins, relatives, neighbours.... the list is long and ongoing. We all hope to meet her one day. Her and her people are incredible. They've taught us a lot. They've reminded us how to be humans and how to care for each other and how to stand in the face of calamity and adversity and hold patience. These qualities are rare. The sheer humiliation they've been inflicted speaks volume. It is, by far, incomprehensible.

All funds so far contributed have reached 'Hamna'. Even in these severe conditions and poverty, 'Hamna' is sharing everything and helping everyone around her, that she can.

My aim is to pass on the funds as quickly as they arrive. Those of you in touch with Hamna' please check with her. I am pleased and grateful to Allah, we have been able to help these people in some way. We are doing our bit has humans and will continue to do so.

Thank you everyone who contributes and has done. Every penny is appreciated. Stay blessed and keep it going.

Thankfully, Hamna and her family are alive. Her daughter was hit by a drone last week and underwent surgery to have the bullet removed from her knee without anaesthesia.
They are living in very extreme conditions and it's hard to comprehend how they are surviving. Hamna is tired. There's no foreseeable future of even thinking of any hope. We, the contributors are her strength. There's no other way that we can reach out to these people due to the the barriers that lie in the way. However, Hamna is receiving the funds being raised. So every penny being donated is serving it's purpose. Thank you to everyone whose chipped in. Please continue to share this link with family, friends, and colleagues.
Stay blessed and pray this war is over soon and peace is restored in the region.
Hamna's wish is, for when this ordeal ends, to be able to leave and move to Qatar. She is an English Graduate and her husband is a Mathematics teacher. I hope she is able to meet her dream. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help her and those of her people to leave this troubled region for a safer place. Of course they need funds. Everything is possible but at the minute everything is bleak.
