Humberto "Bert" Hernandez's Fight Against Cancer

Retired US Border Patrol Supervisor Humberto "Bert" Hernandez was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. He and his wife/support system will be traveling to El Paso once a week for the next 6 months for chemotherapy. This gofundme will help with the costs of medical and travel expenses. He is known in the community for his love of fitness and running, even having the BP sector gym named after him! Bert was an integral part of BORTAC as well. He is always donating his "use-or-lose" time off to agents in need. Even though he is retired, Bert still serves in an administrative position within BP. He has been a staple in the Big Bend Sector Border Patrol since the 1990's, and made Marfa, TX his home.

Throughout his time in the Border Patrol, Bert has helped, and will continue to help, anyone who is in need. Now is our time to help during his fight!
