Humphrey's Vet Bills

Hi Everyone,

My big baby has suffered a full tear of his CCL, a ligament in his hind leg. Unfortunately, I am looking at surgery as the only option to fix the issue and ensure he doesn't continue to have pain while walking.

The initial examination, scans and bloodwork totalling just under $1,000. He will require a pricey surgery - estimated around $5000 as well as several follow-up visits, scans, and shots to recover his joints on top of that price. The vet has also suggested some water therapy physio to recover the injury and help prevent any further damage to his healthier limbs.

I am currently completing my undergrad and continuing to do more schooling after that. As we all know Vancouver has become extremely hard to afford, and with the additional costs on a student budget, I have no idea how I'm going to pull this off. I am currently working part-time and am picking up additional bartending shifts to try to earn some extra money to try to handle the costs. This will likely not be enough, and I will not be able to work during his recuperation, as he will need someone with him 24/7.

I know everyone has their own struggles right now, financial or otherwise, but I'm asking for any help that you can provide to try to get my sweet boy feeling himself again.
