Humpty Dumpty “Alexander Dang”

Donation protected
Humpty Dumpty, he had a great fall… Now he is in the hospital getting put back together.

Crystal his fiancé and Skye his daughter, wanted to start the title with a little humor. Alex has always been one to make people smile and would try to make light of a situation like this.

I am Andrea, a friend of Alex and Crystal’s. I started this fundraiser to help raise money for medical expenses, as well as, additional costs that will occur during Alex’s long road to recovery. On Monday, September 5th, Alex fell 30 feet while pressure washing a building. He sustained multiple injuries and is currently in the ICU. He has already been in two intensive surgeries and has had multiple blood transfusions. As of, Thursday, September 9th, he is still in a medically induced coma and has not been awake since the ambulance ride. The stress his body is under and the significant pain from his injuries was too much for his heart to handle. After reviving him twice, they had no choice but to keep him in a more relaxed state. They are hoping to take his breathing tube out soon and wake him up. For now, prayers and good thoughts are very much appreciated.

The Alex I know is a very kind soul. He is my husbands best friend and has been a wonderful uncle to my two kids. I know he would give the shirt off of his back to help those in need. He is by far one of the most generous people I have had the privilege of knowing. He has brought so much joy into our lives, as I know he’s done for countless others. Alex is also an extremely hard worker. Go figure, that’s exactly what he was doing when this tragic accident took place. If you are like me, you want to help. Alex would never be one to ask for help, but he is definitely going to need it! We are hoping for the best possible outcome. All that we can do right now is remain optimistic.

  • Update: Alex is awake. He is still in the hospital. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is going to need a lot of support from friends and family. Let’s help him get back on his feet.
  • Update 9/17: Alex is still recovering in the hospital. He is on oxygen and is working with physical therapy daily. They are hoping to move him to a physical rehabilitation facility early next week.
  • Update 9/20: Alex is resting and recovering in the hospital. He is unable to walk or bare weight on the side he fell on. Once the times comes for him to be discharged from the physical rehabilitation center, it is likely he will be in a wheelchair and need a wheelchair ramp installed to access his home. Praise God or your higher power that Alex is alive!! If his elbow, that was shattered into 300 pieces, hadn’t been protecting his head when he fell, he wouldn’t be with us today. He may no longer have his original parts, but at least his brain is sound!
  • Update 9/26: From the MAN himself, “So here is the update, I'm finally being transferred out of Sacred Heart to Sullivan Park Rehab Center today at noon.”
  • Alex is home!!
