Austin Reddin Fundraising Kilbride GFC
Donation protected
Austin Reddin, current Trustee of Kilbride GFC, recently has had an accident. Unfortunately Austin is paralysed from the neck down and is currently getting treatment in the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Before he returns home, his house requires major renovations.
The Club has set up this Gofundme page with a view to raising some funds to help with these planned works.
Austin’s contribution to the Kilbride Club over the last 60 years has been enormous. Between 1962 and 2009 he served either as Secretary or Chairman, overseeing the hugely successful period in the Club’s history where Kilbride rose from the lowly levels of Junior football to dominate Meath football for more than a decade. In this period, he captained the winning Keegan Cup team in 1969, becoming one of the few goalkeepers to achieve this honour. He was closely involved with the purchase of the current field, the construction of the Clubhouse in the early 90s and its official opening in 1995.
While not as prominent around the Club in recent years, he was always available to give advice and ensure the Club was moving in the correct direction.
Thank you for your support.
