Hunger Relief for Honduras
Tax deductible
These past days have been very difficult for the world, and for Honduras in particular. The COVID-19 pandemic has caught Honduras off guard. While people around the world struggle to gather basic medical supplies, the people of Honduras are struggling to eat.
A day without work in Honduras, is a day without food. Many people haven't eaten in over two weeks, since the country went into lockdown. People will starve to death.
There is no government funding, backup, or stimulus package here. Families have been writing Cepudo every day for rice and beans, but there just isn't enough for everyone. Things were already bad before COVID-19, and the current crisis has made life unimaginable.
The COVID-19 Crisis has been worse than the political crisis caused by the coup in 2009, and worse than Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Those that normally provide assistance are also struggling, and Honduras has been left with very few options. The mission of our project is to raise money to feed 800 people for the duration of the pandemic.
It costs just $37.50 to feed one person for the next three months. Your donation will provide basic food items including: fortified rice, flour, and beans. With your contribution, we can give each family 10 pounds of rice, flour, and beans per week.
You can save lives. Join us and give life and hope. Whatever you can donate will make a difference and keep people alive during this unprecedented crisis. Thank you for your help.
