What does food insecurity mean to you?
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, food insecurity is defined as the fact or an instance of being unable to consistently access or afford adequate food.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Economic Research data presents 12.8 percent (17 million) of U.S. households were food insecure at some time during 2022. This statistical percentage grew significantly higher than the previous 10.2 percent (13.5 million) in 2021.

Do you know what it feels like to be hungry?
This is a question that affects people of all ages. You’ve been there. Our children have been there. We’ve all been there at some point in our life. It takes kindness to make a difference. In fact, anyone can make a difference. “The Hunger Heroes” is reaching out to all heroes across the world in this great effort to unite and aid those in need for food securities.
Where Will The Money Go?
Action Against Hunger works across 55 countries, reaching over 28 million people. They provide aid to some of the world’s most food insecure countries including Burkina Faso, Mali, Sudan, South Sudan and many others. In addition to that, they provide immediate relief to countries in times of crisis such as war. Currently they are working to provide emergency food deliveries to citizens of Gaza. Not only does Action Against Hunger provide immediate relief for hunger, they also work to partner with communities to improve food security by supporting local farmers and businesses to grow.
