Hunter and Kyle Rebuilding Fund

Hunter and Kyle are newlyweds (October, 2022) who recently purchased and moved into their dream home. Their future is incredibly bright and there's so much joy ahead of them.

At this exact moment though, things are a little rocky. The week after coming home from their honeymoon, Hunter was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Despite having a responsible amount of money set aside for their home renovations and emergencies, their reserves have been quickly depleted due to several unforeseen circumstances outside of their control.

Since these two aren't complainers, let me break down exactly how much has been going on for them - aside from the obvious cancer diagnosis and the associated medical bills, expenses, and emotional toll ...
  • Moving Company Number One ghosted them after accepting a deposit, causing them to fall behind their move-out schedule with their old apartment
  • Moving Company Number Two miscommunicated with their team and sent three NEWBIES to move a "one-bedroom apartment" ... there were three bedrooms full of large, heavy furniture
  • Inexperienced movers didn't know how to use the support gear resulting in damage to the majority of Kyle's beautiful handmade pieces AS WELL AS the new house's walls, doors, and brand-new floors
  • Moving Company is trying to get out of paying for damages
  • The apartment complex sprung a ridiculous $3000 move-out fee on these two. They are wonderful tenants and completed a large number of repairs and improvements themselves due to the company's negligence. The final straw was them ignoring complaints until their ceiling caved in on them
  • The contractor's apprentice cut the wrong pipe flooding their brand-new garage where the majority of their stuff was stored
  • The contractor is unable to fix and unable to reimburse payment. He's completely broke, incorporated out of state, and has nonexistent insurance. A legal advisor told the couple that suing likely wouldn't be worth it
  • And of course, after moving into a new home, there are always unforeseen issues and surprise repairs that pop up. For these two, it was a failed HVAC unit that needed to be replaced immediately

The financial stress of making a new house into a home, the stress of packing up and moving, and the stress of chemo have all compounded and these two are struggling under the weight of it all. Despite their careful planning and conservative estimations of their projected expenses, the sheer VOLUME of misfortune has been overwhelming.

These two are extremely creative and adaptable. They're normally able to handle Murphy's law. But with Hunter's diagnosis, this time it's just too much.

We're asking for donations to help these two get out from under their medical and unforeseen home repair expenses. Let's relieve these two of as much stress as we can.
