Hunter the Warrior and his Osteosarcoma Journey
Donation protected
Hunter was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma at 4 months old and went through 18 months of chemotherapy. Due to his cancer, it left him blind in his left eye, but that doesn’t stop doing the things he loves! He was chosen to represent Make a Wish as a Telethon little kid in 2021 and had his wish of meeting Willy Wonka granted!
Recently, Hunter had a fall at school. A large lump came up on his right thigh, and became in the ensuing days. Hunter saw the doctor, and following multiple scans, test and biopsies, it was discovered that Hunter has Osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. Not just that, scan showed a few metastisized tumors on his lungs. Hunter has since started chemotherapy again, an unfathomable schedule to be faced by this amazing warrior. Midway through the treatment, the family will be advised as to whether Hunter will lose his leg. Furthermore, as everything progresses, they will find what can be done about the spots on his lungs. Hunter's family will need help financially, as his mother has had to stop work to care for him full time, and support his older twin brothers, his will a prosthesis and all the aftercare required for this.
Please dig deep and donate if you can! Any excess proceeds not needed by the family will be donated to Telethon. Note, the goal value may changed as costs come to light.
