Help Karin's Dog Team!
Donation protected
Karin Hendrickson, a six time Iditarod finisher and respected musher in Alaska, was hospitalized on November 25 after being hit by a vehicle while training her sled dogs along the Parks Highway in the Willow area. Karin suffered a broken back and broken leg as she took most of the impact of the crash. Karin's 14 dogs that she was training at the time are all safe at home with only a few minor injuries. Not suprisingly, Karin's first concern is that her dogs are taken care of and she has a strong network of friends and fellow mushers that will make that happen. Karin has asked that those who wish to support her and her kennel make a contribution toward the expenses of feeding the dogs of Blue on Black Kennels www.blueonblackdogs.com . The cost of commercial and and meat dog food exceeds $2,000 per month. By donating one or more bags of dog food at $60/bag your contribution will make a tremendous difference in helping Karin and her dogs. Please consider buying a "round of kibble" or making a donation of any amount. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help offset the costs of dog care along with the food. Karin will not be able to take care of her dogs for a while so we want to make sure that their needs are met while she recovers.
100% of all donations will go directly to Karin Hendrickson regardless of whether the financial goal is met or not.
Please contact Gwen Rodman (Karin's Mother), Chrystie Salesky, or Katrina Krueger with any questions. The Dogs Thank You!
