Dave and Jennifer Williams are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for assistance. Hurricane Beryl has recently devastated the beautiful community of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Dave was born and raised. The impact has been catastrophic, and many of Dave's family members, friends, and countless others in the community have been deeply affected.

Why St. Elizabeth?

St. Elizabeth is a vibrant community known for its hardworking residents and the charming roadside stands that dot the area. These small businesses are the lifeblood of the community, providing not only income but also a sense of identity and pride. Unfortunately, Hurricane Beryl has hit St. Elizabeth the hardest, causing widespread destruction. Many of these small businesses have been reduced to rubble, and homes have been damaged or completely destroyed.

The Urgent Need

The majority of the damage has occurred to the small, independently owned roadside stands. These businesses are crucial for the local economy and the livelihood of many families. Without immediate help, it will be incredibly challenging for these entrepreneurs to rebuild and recover.

How Will Funds Be Used?

All funds will be sent to Dave's brother via Western Union (Jamaican bank fees are exorbitant), who is on the ground in St. Elizabeth, Jamiaca. He will use the money to purchase building supplies to repair local businesses, homes and hydro (called current in Jamaica) poles. He will ensure that those in the most need are provided with the supplies they need to pick up the pieces after this storm.

Who are we raising funds for?

We are raising funds for the communities we are a part of in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. These communities are called Sandy Ground and Parotee.
