Hurrican Idalia Relief for Sonny Perez

As many of you know, our friends in Live Oak faced great devastation during Hurricane Idalia this month. One of our dear friends, someone who many of us refer to as one of our greatest mentors, has been tragically affected by the storm. Though he would never ask anyone for help and only asks if they need help, some close Suwannee family and myself have decided to reach out to the huge community we have and ask for any donations to help bring relief to our friend during these trying tribulations.

Sonny Perez has been like a godfather to many of us, taking us under his wing and provided many incredible work opportunities for us. Always with an open ear and open heart, he has been willing to be a foundation for, to some of us, what has become a lifelong career. One of the most selfless men I have ever met. If you ever been to a festival at Suwannee Music park, there's about a 100% chance that Sonny is someone at the top of the list you should be thanking for helping lead the way to these incredible experiences. Hard working, never quitting, putting countless hours in with the rest of the crew to make sure the love and comfort we look for when attending these events is found with ease. When something needs to happen at the park during a show, Sonny is the man they call and the one we all rely on to make it happen, safely and smoothly.

In the chaos that was Hurricane Idalia, Sonny's home was badly damaged, to the point where living there is no longer an option until very serious and expensive repairs are made. We are aiming to raise as much as possible to help Sonny and his boy get back to the comfortable living situation they rightfully deserve.
