Hurricane, a song for the GO Fish Coalition
Tax deductible
Any donation of $5 or more to the GO FISH Coalition will get you a copy of the classic song, "Hurricane". Featuring Louisiana born artists Kevin Russell, Mike Dean and Drew Landry, the track supports Hurricane recovery efforts for fishing families in South Louisiana . "We were recording the song, 'Hurricane' for a film about the restoration of the Gulf Coast when Ida left many in Southeast Louisiana without shelter or a way to earn a living. Mike and Kevin agreed to use the recording to raise money for fishing families."
The GO FISH Coalition represents fishing families who face increasing threats from Hurricanes, land loss, pollution and imported seafood. Our fishing fleet is an integral part of our culture and we are losing sustainability each year. In addition, Coastal communities will be rebuilding for some time and we do not know what the remainder of the 2021 Hurricane season has in store for the Gulf Coast.
While many fishermen are working to repair boats and equipment that allow them to get back to work, no one is sure about Ida's impact on the fishery. In addition, many homes are completely destroyed. Marinas, Ice houses and seafood processors where fishermen purchase fuel and sell their harvest are also decimated. This fundraiser is for those who reside south of the levee system that protects New Orleans . They will be recovering from unprecedented storm for some time.
Please leave your email address with a donation of any amount and we will send you a copy of "Hurricane" or download it here https://gofishcoalition.bandcamp.com/track/hurricane . Monies will go directly to GO FISH. We support the work of Tracy Kuhns and the GO FISH Coalition 100%. This Fundraiser will run through the 2021 Hurricane Season. Thanks you for supporting this important cause.
