Hurricane Beryl destroys homes in Jamaica – Please HELP!
My name is Ojalae, and I am personally begging you to help.
A little bit about me. I live in the UK and I have many close friends who are like family to me. They have been significantly impacted by the recent hurricane in Jamaica, specifically in the St Elizabeth area of Jamaica. I work for the NHS and have a background in social care and humanitarian relief work too.
Hurricane Beryl may feel like old news by now, but to those Caribbean islands, it has left a trail of complete devastation that will take years to recover. This hurricane had winds over 165 mile per hour (Category 5) and has destroyed homes, communities and local businesses.
I will be visiting the impacted areas of Jamaica later this year. I will distribute 100% of these funds to people who are in desperate need. I would like to invite you to be part of their story, be part of restoring their hope and be part of rebuilding their homes, lives and communities.
This GoFundMe page is specifically for those living in Jamaica. If you can, please will you also donate to other Caribbean Islands that have been impacted (Barbados, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Lucia, Grenada and Dominica).
I cannot thank you enough in advance on behalf of those people you will help.
Can I ask you to do two things:
1. Donate – no matter how small, please donate.
2. Please share with your friends and networks.
This is urgent and real people will benefit from your generosity. Again, I wish to thank you and give you a big hug expressing my gratitude.
God Bless and Peace,
Ojalae
