On Sunday, September 1, 2019, a storm of unprecedented magnitude made its way towards the island I call home, bringing with it winds of 180mph, rain and historical flooding.
It has left behind, utter devastation!
As I type this, my island is still under water, families are retreating to their roofs and attics, rescue efforts are limited as this storm is stationary, stubborn, sitting on top of them and refusing to move.
Your help is greatly needed!
The Hanna-Sorsby-Saunders family is making preparations to help and ALL donations will be used to purchase goods and supplies to assist those at home in desperate need of them.
I am in daily contact with those at home, assessing needs, as the majority of my family is still there.
Upon withdrawal of the funds, items most needed (eg. non-perishable food items, water, hygiene products, baby formula/wipes) will be purchased for distribution for family and the community at large.
Alla we is one...
I have established contact with private companies ready and willing to sail the items directly to Freeport...
From your heart to their hands!!
For those that would like to send non-monetary donations, please ship them to:
