We are assisting Bahamians with the cleanup efforts and the repair of their homes. On September 2, 2019 Hurricane Dorian swept through the Bahamas leaving Abaco and Grand Bahama devastated in its wake.
Areas of Abaco and Grand Bahama were deemed a disaster area and persons were evacuated to the capital city of Nassau. The cleanup is massive and homes have been destroyed or severely damaged and in some instances deemed unlivable. We hope to assist more with clean up and also with home repairs to enable residents to return to their island and to some level of normalcy. We have begun the cleanup and require more funds to assist with fuel for heavy equipment and operators who themselves have suffered loss and need assistance with everyday living. We are also in need of building supplies and tools living arrangements for workers and transportation to and from the island and cays. These are immediate needs that will enable us to continue the work that has been started.
Your support would help us to deliver help and hope to our fellow Bahamians in Abaco and Grand Bahama.
As the Holidays approach most families want to be out of shelters and in their homes . They and us will be forever grateful to you for your assistance at this time as they grapple with total loss of material things and in some instances loss of family members .
May God continue to bless and keep you all as you extend your helping hand to our organization and by extension The people of The Bahamas.
