Hurricane Ian, Everglades City

Tax deductible
Dear Friends of Everglades City, Chokoloskee and Plantation Island,
We, the Board of Communities of Everglades Disaster Recovery (CEDR), are urgently seeking your financial support to recover from the enormous storm surge damage cause by Hurricane Ian. With a few exceptions, all ground floor dwellings and businesses throughout the three communities were inundated with sea water and owners must remove and replace all furniture, flooring, and sheetrock. We estimate that less than ten percent of these families and businesses had flood insurance due to affordability. The current count of destroyed homes is 63. The Communities of Everglades Disaster Recovery (CEDR), is a 501c3 non profit that was formed after Hurricane Irma to help citizens recover from the effects of devastating storm surge. Our board of directors is comprised exclusively of representatives from all the communities. We were instrumental in providing assistance to many families and businesses after Hurricane Irma. These families and businesses had not fully recovered from Irma and we now need your help to restore hope in this special community.
The funds will be used exclusively to help affected families and businesses get back on their feet.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

All donations are tax deductible.
