Hurricane Ian flood cleanup funds help PLEASE

My name is Deanna Rahill and my husband is David Rahill.

We are resident home owners in Fort Myers, Fl. We are in the Tice area near Palm Beach Blvd and 75. We are not renters or snow birds. Ft Myers is our home and our house was our castle until Hurricane Ian brought the Caloosahahatchee River into my home and took everything from us.

The flood surge of Hurricane Ian was terrifying and our home was flooded to knee deep.  The track of the storm changed and changed and finally brought water higher than anyone had seen or predicted.

I'm asking for your help with funds to enable us to hire a professional clean up crew. I've been trying to clean it up myself for 3 days but as I'm alone the heat and moisture are feeding mold faster than I can deal with it. I'm 56 with back and health issues and my husband is a partially disabled 52 year old. I've exhausted all avenues of assistance to try and get volunteer help and because of all the devastation Ian has caused in Lee County, there is no help available that is not currently overloaded. I'm trying to raise $5,000 to hire a real disaster cleanup crew.

If we can get the water and water logged stuff out, we can begin to try and rebuild our lives.

Please, if you can give anything at all it will help. This is a dire time sensitive situation. Our Insurance will not cover the cleanup. We will be waiting for months for the insurance to cover damage to the structure.

The photo is our pool. It's 10 feet of black water. We have no power and are under orders to boil water but with no power that's a problem. If you can't help with money, please pray for us and all that have gone through Ian's devastation.

Everything we have is right here. My vehicle is also destroyed.
