Hurricane Ian Relief Fund - Boca Grande, FL
Donation protected
As most people know, Hurricane Ian made landfall along the southwest coast of Florida on September 28th. The aftermath has been devastating for all of Florida and none more so than Fort Myers and Naples. That being said, the colossal amount of damage in Naples and Fort Myers is being felt all across the Floridian coast. Boca Grande, FL sat under Ian’s eye for about six and a half hours, and while it was not submerged under water as some places were, the harm to this unique island seems endless. The golf cart paths and roads are covered in debris and will take months to clean, but the destruction of hundreds of employees’ homes was most tragic. This staff is a vital part of making Boca Grande the old-time Florida that so many of you have grown to know and love; countless staff members are now displaced. While there is so much to do to restore the island to its former glory, our main priorities are to clean up roads/paths and help all the hard-working employees get back on their feet with a roof over their heads.
We are asking that any and all donations be made here in an effort to restore the island and give immediate relief to those irreplaceable employees who no longer have a home. We are seeking a 501c3 for this relief effort. All of the money raised will be given directly to local employees' families and the many clean-up companies involved for immediate relief. We thank you all for your many prayers and endless help in such a time of sorrow and stress! Join us in our effort to restore Boca Grande, to "Florida as it is meant to be."
