Hurricane Ian Relief for Kay Alvarez and Family

Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 28th, Hurricane Ian’s 8+ ft storm surge pounded the west coast of Florida and began flooding the homes of my family and friends in Fort Meyers. Hunkered down together, Kay Alvarez and her daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Scott Dolloff, managed to escape to the attic while the flood waters completely overtook the floor below. Both homes that once sat side by side on an otherwise calm and picturesque beach town road are now totally destroyed, as are their cars and all of their belongings.

While I write this from my home in California using reliable internet access wearing freshly laundered clothes, Kay, Shelly, and Scott have none of these things and are still wearing the same clothes they wore last week. Until FEMA can provide assistance, I created this fundraiser to help cover basic necessities like food, clothing, toiletries, and funding for more permanent housing arrangements.

Any amount of money you can donate would go far to help these kind and hardworking people get back on their feet. 100% of funds raised will go directly to Kay, Shelly, and Scott via my mother and Kay’s sister-in-Law, Diane Alvarez.

Thank you.
