Hurricane Ian Relief - Island Inn Sanibel staff

As most know, Hurricane Ian has taken a devastating toll on Sanibel Island, and the destruction of our beloved historic Island Inn; which has provided lifelong memories to generations of families spanning over 125 years. All Island Inn staff are safe and accounted for, but some of us have lost our homes, personal belongings, and vehicles. The severe damage to the Island Inn and lack of access to Sanibel Island has suddenly left the entire staff unemployed.

A dedicated bank account has been set up specifically for this fund, and 100% of the donations will be equally dispersed between the housekeeping, maintenance, and office staff to assist in picking up the pieces and starting our lives over again. Employees will have the option to opt out of their portion of the dispersement, and donate it to other employees as they see fit.

The Island "Inn-Mates", as affectionately known, would like to thank the loyal guests and friends we've gotten to know over the years for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, help, and generosity during this incredibly challenging time. We ask for everyone's continued prayers and support as we navigate through the next few days, weeks, and months to rebuild our lives in this beautiful community we call home.
