Hurricane Ian Relief - Over Easy Cafe Family

Donation protected
My name is Julian Cadavid. I started working at the OEC in February 2014 and only recently left to start my career in April 2022. Though I may no longer work there, I still consider the people family and always hope and wish the best for them as they are all great people who have impacted my life in ways that I will never forget. When the aftermath of Hurricane Ian was revealed, I could not get them out of my head as I knew their whole lives had been flipped upside down, and I felt helpless, knowing there was no way I could help them. As many of you know, Hurricane Ian heavily impacted the beautiful and cozy Sanibel Island. Hurricane Ian took not only the livelihood of many people but also a place many of them have called home for many years, some more than 15 years.

The Over Easy Cafe sustained heavy damage, the water rose to very high levels, and I can't imagine the damage it left behind as a result.
Thankfully, all the staff, including the owners, Trasi and Liza, who were evacuated from the island two days after the hurricane hit, are accounted for and safe. I am eternally grateful for that, as lives cannot be replaced.

Unfortunately, many are facing an uncertain future due to losing their primary source of income to support their families. I have read comments on Facebook asking how to help and wanted to provide a way to do so.

The funds will be donated 100% to the Over Easy Cafe.

Thank you so much for the support,

The Over Easy Cafe Family
