Hurricane Ida rebuilding fund for Robert Taylor
Hi,
My name is Tish Taylor and my father is Robert (Bobby) Taylor. He is the founder and Executive Director of Concerned Citizens of St. John, a non profit organization that advocates for Environmental Justice in his parish. He was born and raised in Reserve Louisiana and built this home for his wife and children. This was a modest size home that, over the years, my dad expanded as our family grew. It became a large family home that everybody visited, loved and was welcome to stay. Most of his interviews, regarding our fight against Dupont/Denka's under regulated toxic emissions of Chloroprene, was done at his kitchen table.
My dad will be 81 in a few weeks and is currently displaced due to hurricane Ida. His beautiful family home has been ravished by this storm. This is heartbreaking for him and everyone who has ever been a part of our family. Dad and mom's home is uninsured and he is depending on FEMA for assistance. We are working with a few of our Coalition Against Death Alley (CADA) organizations to collect donations for the rebuilding of their home.
Please help a man who fights daily for the safety of the community he lives in.
On Christmas Eve, my sister Raven makes gumbo and the adults open gifts.
