Hurricane Ida rescue fund

My name is Mildred Joseph; I am a single mother of two boys, a Dog name Smokey and we reside in Plymouth Township, PA. 

For a person who has always been in the position to help and give, now I am in a position of need. 

Due to the past weather events, my home was flooded with water, causing the lost of my personal belongings and essential utilities to be impacted. The Township’s Fire Marshall has deemed my house uninhabitable thus shutting off my gas, water and electricity due to safety hazards. 

We have lost all of our clothes including my work uniforms, off-season attire, bedding, and new clothes. To add injury, school just resumed and my children have nothing to wear. 

Our essential appliances have also been damaged; washer, dryer, hot water heater, furnace etc. 

Writing this is not easy for me because I have always been in position to provide for my children but at this point,  I feel helpless and like a failure. This situation also puts me in a vulnerable place because my children and I have been displaced. 

For the past two nights we have stayed at a hotel which has been very costly at $400 for 3 nights. However, I cannot afford to continue to pay this. The distressed look on my boys face just hurts me because I am limited on what I can do.

Attempting to get  in contact with my insurance has been nearly impossible due to the impact that this weather disaster has had on others. All of my outlets have been exhausted and I don’t know what else to do. We need assistance and I am praying that someone can help us please.

If anyone can be a blessing to help us sustain our way through this hardship, it would be greatly appreciated.
