Hurricane Idalia help for Michelle and her family

Hi, our fellow employee Michelle and her family took a direct hit from Hurricane Idalia. Currently, her family has no water or power and per her utility companies, it could be weeks before they are restored.

Michelle has been with Vacasa for many years now. She is a kind and thoughtful person, respected by her entire team, and a valuable resource to many of our owners. Michelle is the first person to reach out and help anyone in need. I am hoping we can raise a little bit together so that her family can afford a rental property for a week or so while her power and water get restored, and help with the cost of supplies needed due to the storm impact and the inevitable loss of wages. Here in Florida after a hurricane, it takes a good bit of time before homeowners insurance kicks in if they cover much of relocation expenses at all. FEMA will help eventually but that also takes months. Also, it is unseasonably hot in Florida right now. It is not safe or healthy for her and her family to remain in a home without AC or a way to keep their food cold.
