Hurricane Idalia Relief Fund for 83 West

Shannon and Jordan Keaton have been some of the longest-running customers with Cascade Technologies over the years. I met Jordan and Shannon in 2017, and at the time, they were still putting the pieces back together following Hurricane Hermine which hit Cedar Key in 2016. One thing I can tell you is the two of them were resilient, and in talking to me about the turmoil they had experienced in the aftermath, optimistic for the future of their restaurant here in Cedar Key. They have been a valued partner of my firm since the day we met.

If you haven't been to Cedar Key, I highly suggest going down and supporting the folks who work day in and day out to keep that island alive. It is a beautiful place where you can truly "turn off". At the end of the day, it's the people. I spoke with Shannon this morning and when we started talking, the only thing Shannon mentioned to me several times was being most concerned about reopening for the sake of her employees and those who depend on their businesses for their livelihoods. She informed me that these funds will go to assessing damages, making a plan to reopen, and supporting employees. At this time, it is unclear the extent of damages to the property or when the restaurant will be able to reopen.

Over the past 24 hours, we have seen over 500,000 viewers on the camera on the back of 83 West. Let's all do our part to make sure we can continue doing this in the future from 83 West.
