Hurricane Idalia-Tornado Survivor Malaijha Smoke

Hi my name is Malaijha Smoke, on 8/30/2023 I was involved in a minor tornado/microburst where my car was picked up from the rear about 10+ feet in the air while driving home from work on US-52 in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Where then my car spun and flipped and landed on another vehicle.
I landed on the driver side at full impact where I sustained minor injuries such as cuts on my left hand and some soreness on my arm, stomach and chest area. While I did have my seatbelt on, I crawled from the front seat to the rear window which was busted open to escape. The only thing I could think in that moment was my baby and family. I am 5 months pregnant and it was a very traumatic experience that took place. I do appreciate everyone on the scene who helped me out and a big thanks to Goose Creek Fire/EMS as they transported me to Roper Berkeley Hospital. Outside of my vehicle insurance I know that I will accrue more expenses than the policies will cover. I would appreciate any help and support that you all may give and it was a miracle to be able to walk away from that. Glad baby and I are doing okay!
