Hurricane Maria - Boston Relief
Dear family and friends,
As you know, Puerto Rico has suffered devastating damages as a result of Hurricane Maria. Now Puerto Ricans are fighting for their lives as most of the island has been left without power and more importantly food and water. In support of our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters, a small group of Bostonians have made arrangements to hold a donation drive which will take place at 221 Dudley St. in Roxbury from Friday, September 29 through Sunday, October 1.
We are in the process of securing a container(s) which will transport all collected items to the island. The price to ship each container is $7,500.00. The container (s) will be located in the rear of 221 Dudley St. in Roxbury, behind El Mondonguito Restaurant to facilitate for an organized packing process.
In addition to the food drive we are holding this weekend, we are also asking for help with raising money to help cover the cost of shipping the container(s) to Puerto Rico. Please remember that no donation is too small. If you are not able to make a monetary donation, you are welcome to drop by and bring (water, non-perishable goods, diapers and other toiletries)
Please help us spread the word by sharing this to everyone you know.
