Hurricane relief for Traditions Acupuncture Foundation
Tax deductible
Western North Carolina has been drastically impacted by Hurricane Helene. Our commuity is functioning in a state of shock as we slowly regain power, water and other resources.
For those of us still in town, everyday is an odyssey of gathering water, trying to gain news of friends and loved ones in near and far neighborhoods, and learning to navigate a half-destroyed city.
This is an even more difficult experience for those who have experienced significant losses and for those who were already living in marginalized or underserved communities.
The community is still processing the experience with many leaving their homes and our beloved city in uncertainty of return. Many of these experiences are too difficult to express.
Traditions Acupuncture Foundation in a 501c3 located in Asheville founded by members of the Daoist Traditions community to support various Daoist Traditions and community causes.
Daoist Traditions was lucky to only experience minimal damage from downed trees, and like the rest of the city is operating without running water. Our staff and students are safe. Yet, our community is hurting and will need extensive healing. Our students will face unique challenges in returning to classes and serving a traumatized city. We are focused now on re-structuring our semester so that students will complete their learning goals and graduation progress on time. We hope to reopen our student clinic in November.
Your donation to this Hurricane Relief fund will enable Traditions Acupuncture Foundation in its goal of supporting acupuncture education and supprting acupunture care for our most vulnerable citizens in Asheville, NC. Hurricane fund donations will be used to support the school and students through this experience.
