Hurricane-force winds destroys Fernie family home

I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt request for help for one of our own. Mark Hall, a man who has been a cornerstone of our community for years, has recently suffered a devastating loss due to the windstorm Wednesday, September 25, 2024. His family home and property were destroyed, leaving him with almost nothing and unfortunately uninsured at the time.

For years, Mark has been a generous and unwavering supporter of our town. Gearhub has always been the first to donate to local causes, especially those involving kids’ sports and activities. Whether it was sponsoring teams, individuals, donating equipment, or offering his time and services, he has never hesitated to step up and give back to the community that he loves.

Now, in his time of need, it’s our turn to step up for him. Mark has been a pillar of strength and generosity for all of us, and we are asking for any support to help him rebuild and recover. With the snow coming shortly time is of the essence and with no insurance your help is needed!

No amount is too small, and every bit of help will go a long way in showing Mark that this community he has given so much to is here for him when he needs it most.
