It's with a heavy heart that I am establishing this page, and I know many will be shocked. With less than a 4 month battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, Gary 'Hutch' Hutchins passed away Monday evening, November 2nd. It's been a difficult summer for the family. Gary was diagnosed in July, and began an arduous fight for his life. Although he remained private about his illness, he gave a courageous and valiant fight, keeping his faith intact that God has the answers. If you know Gary, you know he had a larger than life heart, and loved his wife and children. With so little time to even comprehend the illness, his death leaves behind a devastated and heartbroken family.
This fundraiser is to help ensure that his family can put the pieces of their lives back together. Kim was resourced from Lenovo in June, and although that proved to be a blessing during Hutch's illness, and enabled her to dedicate herself to Gary and the children 100% of the time, it now is a tremendous financial burden. Although Gary may not be here to ensure their futures remain bright, thankfully we all have the power to do something and make a difference. Mounting hospital bills, funeral expenses, children in college, and with Kim unemployed, we can all be the helping hands to lift them up.
While the money raised will never ease their grief and loss, it's a special way to allow this family a little peace of mind, and to show our love.
