Help the Hutchins Families Dogs

Hello! I have created a go fund me to help my neighbor raise funds to cover their emergency vet expenses after a hit and run accident in front of their home on South Main St.

My neighbors are a family of 5. Aaron is a life long Fair Haven resident. Cynthia is our local music teacher at Fair Haven Grade School. Together they are raising their 3 children and have 2 dogs. The kids have named the dogs after Disney Princesses- Auroa is an almost 3 year old lab mix and Jasmine is a 9 month old retriever/collie mix. They are spoiled dogs who are well loved by a wonderful family.

On Sept 1st when Cynthia and the kids got home from school their two dogs got out the front door. Both of the dogs were hit by a truck traveling north past their house. The truck was speeding and did not stop.

The dogs survived the impact, but have sustained significant injuries and are being treated at Eastwood Animal Clinic in Rutland. Auroa (the black and white dog) had to have surgery to repair ligaments and tendons and Jasmine (the black dog) has a broken front leg.

As of Friday afternoon, the Hutchins vet bill is around $3500 and is growing. Once they are well enough to come home they will need to be seen twice a week at Eastwood Animal Clinc for the next month or so to be put under for bandage changes due to the severe road rash both dogs have. They are lucky to be alive.

No one is expecting the kind of emergency that the Hutchins family faced on Thursday. If you can, please help out this wonderful family ease their burden of the vet bill that was racked up saving the furrest members of their family.
