Hello, my name is Paige Hutchinson and I thoroughly enjoy the happiness and excitement that comes from putting my crochet skills to work in order to help others. I am a Registered Radiologic Technologist (aka an X-Ray Tech). I spend my workdays helping provide care of patients who are sick, injured, and in pain. I spend my time at home trying to provide care in a different way, by using my crochet skills.

A year ago, I started making lap blankets, scarves, hats, and full-size blankets for some of my geriatric patients who were confined to nursing homes and who struggled to stay warm throughout the day. Some of these patients had very little to call their own. I saw the joy they experienced from receiving a handmade gift that was carefully crafted for them. And seeing this joy made a difference in my life as well. You might now say that “crocheting keeps me from unraveling”.

I have now branched out into crocheting for other causes as well. I am currently attempting to make items for multiple nursing homes in Tallahassee, a homeless shelter in North Carolina, a cancer comfort project, an animal shelter, individual requests submitted to me, and adding more causes and projects to the growing list.

I am seeking donations in order to continue my charity work. Any amount that can be given will help me accomplish my goal. And every penny donated will go towards the necessities of continuing the work of Hutchinson Handmades.

The donors to this endeavor have my word that I will put forth the effort and the work. I will put my hands, heart, and brain to the task of creating items to bring comfort, warmth, and joy to those who will hold these creations in their hands.
