Monica Vega's Memorial Fund

Hey all,

Any of you that have been following Monica's battle with ovarian cancer know she's been putting up a fierce fight while keeping an amazingly positive attitude and her wonderful sense of humor along the way.

Unfortunately, she has recently taken a turn for the worse and even though she is still fighting the good fight, the odds are very much stacked against her. The focus of her journey has now turned from treatment to care and comfort. She has been moved from the hospital to rest peacefully amongst her loved ones at home. Home hospice has been set up and her family could really use any help you might be able to give with medical and household expenses.

Monica Vega is a dedicated wife and best friend to Matt, SuperMom to Vincent, amazing sister and daughter to her family, creative and fun silly heart to her friends and kind hearted soul to most people she meets. Since her diagnosis in March of 2021, we also learned that she is tough as nails. Throughout her battle, she has faced a multitude of hurdles. Many complications and side effects of treatment often hindered her fight. When one chemo didnt work, she moved onto the next, and when that one wasnt effective, she got into a clinical trial. She never gave up and each time she just took it as another bump in the road and continued to charge ahead.

It's been a hard battle, not only physically and emotionally, but financially. Throughout her treatment she continued to try and work when she could but it became increasingly difficult. In the last several months she hasn't been well enough to work at all. The clinical trial involved many trips to Chicago which meant time off work for Matt and extra expenses for travel.

I humbly ask for the help of their friends, family, friends of friends, and even strangers to help raise funds to cover Monica's home care, medical expenses not covered by insurance, Matt's time off work to take care of his wife and household expenses.
