Save Kona: Urgent Surgery Needed

Those who know me, know that Kona has been my anchor through life’s hardest trials. Today, he was diagnosed with a severe perineal hernia that requires an expensive surgery, Kona’s life is at risk. With the recent injury to my horse, Vegas, and the unexpected financial strain that came and continues to come with it, I’m struggling to find a way to fund the care that Kona so desperately needs. But I’m not ready to give up on him.

When I lost my mom, the grief was all-consuming, but Kona was there, he’s always been there offering an unwavering, silent comfort that words could never provide. My mom adored him, perhaps even more than my brother and me… She always saw his gentle spirit and the love he had to give. Kona’s companionship has been the light in my darkest days, and in many ways, I feel he’s the reason I’m still here. He’s still so vibrant, with a joyful energy that fills every room he enters. He’s more than just a pet, he’s my best friend and a living memory of the love my mom had for both of us.

I humbly ask for any help in securing the funds needed for his surgery. More than anything, I just want more time with Kona. The dog who has saved me time and time again.
