Stop Domestic Violence
Donation protected
Alixandra Albano Richardson. A daughter, a sister, a mother and a friend. Alix lights up any room she is present in. This charismatic, energetic and amazing woman has withstood something no one should ever experience. A victim of a brutal domestic violence attack, that left her in critical condition and fighting for her life. Our saving grace were the heroic Putnam County Sheriffs, and doctors, armed with God on their side. They were able to save her life with seconds to spare. The warrior inside of Alix pulled through and we thank God every day that she is still here with us. Unfortunately, the injuries and trauma Alix has experienced has made a long path of recovery inevitable. It is hard to put into words the mental and physical abuse she's sustained. Multiple stab wounds and additional trauma have left her entire body in pain. Simple movements are excruciating, and her hands have been hurt so badly, grasping anything is not possible. It is very likely skin grafts will be needed in the future.
We want to help in any way possible, and be a rock for a person who has been for so many. Not only for Alix, but for her daughter, little Miss Scarlet, who she wants nothing but to be there for. Scarlett, like her mommy, is a warrior and she is growing into a truly special person. She is a ray of sunshine on any given day and has that infectious laugh that we all know and love. Now more than ever, she needs her mom who also needs her. The truth is Scarlett also has a burden that she will carry around for the rest of her life, and every day she will see the emotional and physical scars left behind from this tragedy. With the ability to work in the future up in the air for Alix, anything we can do to help ease the worry of providing, goes a long way. It is more appreciated than you will ever know. Thank you, and God Bless.
