In Loving Memory of Mandy

My sister, Mandy, passed away last week leaving behind a husband and their three children who are 9 years and younger.

Anyone who knew my sister knows how important her kids were to her and how important she was to them. Family was was the absolute most important thing to her. She was an amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter, cousin and friend.

Her husband is a hard working man, but has to take an extensive amount of time off of work to deal with the dreadful processes after a loved one passes, and mostly to care for the kiddos until he’s able to figure out something more permanent. It’s going to be a hard adjustment for their family, especially since Mandy was there to care for those kids basically 24/7. The last thing any family should have to worry about while grieving and making life changing adjustments is the costs of a memorial.

My sister was such a selfless, caring and empathetic person. She kept in touch with family and friends well and was always checking in to make sure her loved ones were okay. She went that extra step to help them in whatever way she could- even if that just meant causing a smile, letting them know someone cares, or a warm home-cooked meal (did I mention she was the BEST cook??).

Me being her little sister by 13 years and us losing our mom, she stepped up to take care of me as both my sister and a 2nd mom. It’s my time to give back to her and try to make up for even a small portion of what she did for me, for all her friends and family, so I want to give her the most beautiful memorial.
