The Bridges boys are here and these tiny ones remind us that babies are God-breathed miracles! Please give whatever you can for the Bridges family, as they navigate life as new parents while the boys are in the NICU. Your prayers and support mean everything.

***FIVE WEEK UPDATE FROM THE BRIDGES FAMILY***
Our two little miracles are 5 weeks old. They turned 1 month old on Tuesday! They amaze us every day!
Carter- our mighty strong little fighter is now 1 lb 11oz. He is still not on milk feeds.
Blessings- we are thankful that Carter was able to have his drains removed. We are thankful that he is having good strong heart rates and oxygen levels. We are thankful he is gaining weight. We are thankful for clear brain scans.
Prayers- Carter needs lots of prayers! His blood gases show that his CO2 level was high so they had to go up on his ventilator rate. Although he had his drains removed, his intestines are not allowing anything to pass through them. He has gas trapped in his intestine. The doctors are thinking that when his bowel perforated and they put the drains in to let it heal, it healed too narrow and has caused an obstruction. Pray for his belly. Pray for the gas to pass through. Pray they can resolve it without surgery. Pray for his blood pressure to stabilize. He had to be put back on dopamine to bring his blood pressure up. They do not know what is causing the low pressures but they believe it is related to the bowel issue. He has had two blood transfusions last night and today. He also had albumin. He is getting X-rays every 12 hours or sooner depending on him. Taking BP every 30 mins. Pray pray pray!
Lawson- strong little man is now weighing 2 lbs 8oz. He is getting 20ml of fortified milk every 3 hours. He is growing like a weed!
Blessings- we are thankful for a clear brain scan. We are thankful for an unchanged echocardiogram of his heart. We are thankful that the sores on his ankles are healing. We are thankful for a stable week. He had a few big events where he had to be bagged but we are thankful he pulled out of them. We are thankful for big poops. So thankful I was able to hold him two times this week.
Prayers- pray for the cardiology team as they continue to monitor him closely. Pray for ortho and plastics as they monitor his fingers as his index finger has declared itself. Pray for no events. Pray for stable heart rates and O2 levels.
Thank you for all of your prayers! We ask that you continue to pray for our little nuggets! This has been a mentally and emotionally draining week. Pray for our strength for our boys, each other, and in our faith! Thank you and we love y’all!
