KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

Bobbie and her donor (her angel, her miracle) for giving her the gift of life have a new transplant date which is scheduled for April 11, 2023. The costs associated after her transplant for her and her husbands stay in Tampa has increased significantly over the past 7 months. I am asking once again to please open your hearts, no donation is too small. Let's all be a part of this miracle for Bobbie.

Hi, my name is Janet. My friend Bobbie Ferguson was diagnosed 6 years ago with Kidney disease. She has been on the wait list for a kidney from a deceased donor 5+ years and is on dialysis 7 days a week which is keeping her alive for now.

In November/2021 I joined a zoom meeting with kidney transplant doctors from Mayo Clinic explaining why the chances of survival is much greater to find a living donor than a deceased donor. To help save my friends life she needed a miracle. I advertised on social media for a living donor.

We found one! A complete stranger willing to give the gift of life.

The transplant is scheduled for August 30th @ Tampa General Hospital (TGH).

The transplant for Bobbie and her Donor is covered through insurance and the Kidney Foundation however, Bobbie and her husband Gary will need to stay close to TGH for at least 3 weeks after the transplant and travel back and fourth from their home town is not recommended. The costs associated in a metropolitan area is very costly and not covered by her insurance or the Kidney Foundation.
