Hyland Surrogacy

Hello!
I am putting this out there to see if anyone is willing to help us with our family-building expenses. Many of you are familiar with our story and the devastation caused by the Cold Springs fire last year. Jacob and I are still able to have biological children together, but they will need to be carried by surrogates.
We originally wanted a big family, but after this tragedy that may not be possible. We’re asking for help for two pregnancies.
We have sisters and friends who have offered to surrogate for us without charge. We’re so grateful for their generosity, it is no small service to offer! The compassion and love and selflessness just blows me away. Unfortunately none of them perfectly fit the qualifications. One friend is a an almost-perfect fit though, so we’re planning to move forward with her. Two others just need to finish having their own babies first, and could be great candidates in future.
If it doesn’t work out with our first candidate, I would like to hire a surrogate if financially possible. Our second candidate has offered to delay her own pregnancy to carry for us first, and I love her heart, but that’s not an offer I can accept.
Our first candidate has a beautiful heart too, and is done having children of her own. She’s the absolute best candidate I could hope for in 98% of all considerations, so I’m hoping that it will all work out.
We’re currently working with ORM Fertility, who have so graciously offered a significant portion of their services ($19,400) for free. Even in the midst of such misfortune and sorrow, again and again we have been shown overwhelming kindness.
Here are some estimate numbers of what this looks like. More details at the end.
Fertility Clinic/Pharmacy: $25,000 (two pregnancies, if both require only one transfer) (originally $45,000 before they offered us the IVF cycle free.)
Legal costs: $10,000 (two pregnancies)
Pregnancy care: $20,000 (two pregnancies)
Paid Surrogate: $50,000 (one pregnancy)
Total: $105,000
Again, thank you so much to everyone who has supported and prayed for us following the initial disaster. We are heartbroken and miss our son every day, along with being devastated that I can’t be pregnant again. There’s no way to ever replace what we’ve lost, but you’ve all definitely eased our hardships with your generosity. Thank you all so much for what you’ve done, and thanks in advance to those of you who can help with our next chapter in life too.
Blessings,
Jamie
