Hyperbaric Treatment Fund for Amy Bordelon

Our beautiful, kind-hearted, brave friend, Amy, was recently diagnosed with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL). Commonly known as sudden deafness.
SSHL is an unexplained, rapid loss of hearing either all at once or over a few days. Nerve pathways between the ear and the brain become damaged, and dizziness, balance problems, and tinnitus occurs. Unfortunately, Amy's loss happened overnight AND all at once.
She quickly found out that medical insurance only covers corticosteroid treatments and cochlear implants. She immediately began corticosteroid treatments, but to everyone's dismay it was not effective in restoring her hearing loss.
Hyperbaric oxygen treatments have been quite effective in significantly restoring hearing loss in SSHL patients, if provided within weeks of such diagnosis. Sounds doable, right? Well....medical insurance does not cover such treatment. A course of 30 hyperbaric oxygen treatments at an outpatient facility ranges between $15,000 and $20,000. To almost anyone, this sounds like an exorbitant amount of money. AND, it is!
Amy is a full-time working wife and mother of two amazing seven year-old twin girls. Her passion is service for others. She provides her own patients with the best services to ensure a positive quality of life. Amy deserves the opportunity to hear again. She deserves to hear her girls giggle, to hear the sounds of joy at their dance recitals, to listen to their tiny little fingers playing a piano, and so very much more.
This treatment IS a possibility, and we ask that you please join us in helping her.
