Kian's Fight

Hi we are Jen Nielsen and Jennifer Wettergren and we need your help!

Kian Olson is 19 years old and about to start his Sophomore year @ USD. Instead of starting his first day of school he is fighting for his life.

Last Tuesday (8/17) he tested positive for Covid-19. Thursday he went to Urgent Care and then was rolled over to ER where they kept him overnight. He was released Friday morning with Covid Pneumonia. Saturday afternoon he was back to the ER and was admitted onto the PCU floor within a few hours. He’s getting great care but unfortunately, he’s gotten progressively worse.

This morning they made the decision to move him to the ICU and ultimately a ventilator. The oxygen they were giving him is just not keeping up. He still hasn’t peaked at the worst of this. He’s surrounded by wonderful doctors and nurses who’s working so hard to get him better. Unfortunately he is not allowed visitors and family is not allowed to be there because he is considered an adult. He has been able to text and briefly call his mom, he is scared.

The upcoming days and weeks are going to be hard for Kian and the Family. They need all of the help, love and prayers we can give them right now. We wanted to start this page as an effort to make things easier for them, we all want to help right now, and this is a super simple way to do so.
