Help my Family in Gaza rebuild their lives

In August 2023, I had the opportunity to visit my family in Gaza after almost 23 years. I saw my brothers, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. I spent time with my family and friends catching up on the past and finding out what they had planned for the future. Little did I know, that in less than 2 months the course of their lives would be changed forever. 

At the beginning of the war my family home was destroyed which housed my brother, Adli, and his family- his wife Rania, and their children,  Mohammed (19) and Farah (19). They were only able to escape with the clothes on their back. They've been forced to flee for safety multiple times, living in constant fear and uncertainty. Now, they desperately need help finding a safe haven and rebuilding their lives.

Not only that, my brother Abdul Jabbar, his wife Ijlal, and their children, Tamer (33), his wife and son Baraa (5), Samer (31) his wife and two children Basel (4) and Mohammed (10 Months), their daughter Samar (30) who is an elementary school teacher and their son Mohammed (18). Displaced on multiple occasions, they carry the emotional scars of the war alongside the physical ones. With two young families under their care, their need for support is immense.

My nephews, Yahya (33), his wife, and two young children Zakaria (6) and Tia (3) and Mohammed (24), haven't been spared either. They, too, have been repeatedly forced to flee for safety with their young families. leaving behind everything they knew. The constant displacement and fear have taken a toll on their mental and emotional well-being.

In total, 20 members of my family are struggling to survive amidst the ongoing war on Gaza. For the past four months, I've exhausted every possible avenue to support them, but the needs far outweigh my abilities.

How the donations will be used:

Covering basic necessities: Food, water, shelter, clothing, hygiene items

Transportation costs: Helping them relocate to safe havens or rebuild their lives in Gaza

Medical care: Ensuring their physical and mental well-being

Assistance in rebuilding: Offering them a chance to rebuild their homes and lives, in Gaza or elsewhere
