I AM A Warrior - Ainsley’s Brain Injury Recovery
Donation protected
On November 24, 2018, our 14-year old daughter, Ainsley, was involved in an accident that left her with a severe brain injury. She spent a month in the ICU, but was still in a state of minimal consciousness when she was discharged to a rehab facility. Although the doctors wanted to write her off, she was blessed with some amazing therapists that gave us hope that Ainsley was “in there,” just trapped in a body that she is unable to use.
Ainsley is completely paralyzed and non-verbal. She is fed through a tube in her stomach, and we, her parents (with the help of some loving private duty nurses), provide all of her daily care. Ainsley is a living miracle - she was not supposed to live through the first night, according to the doctors. But Ainsley is an incredible warrior, and every day fights to recover more and more. Just a couple weeks ago we were blessed to hear her laugh for the first time since her accident! ❤️
At this point, we need your help to be able continue treatments that are not covered by insurance: hyperbaric oxygen therapy, stem cell treatments, and neuro-feedback therapy. We saw amazing improvements after the first round of HBOT. We know she would benefit from more.
Please help this amazing young woman be a warrior and fight through recovery. Thank you!
