** NO NEED TO MISS WORK!** ALL-IN-ONE LEARNING CENTER!
* Autism * Speech Therapy * Occupational Therapy * Behavioral * Trauma and Family Counseling * Room to Grow * Community Involvement *
As you all know, Ms. Tracey’s school is her heart’s ministry. TLC Kids Care began solely for the love of children in 1999 with no advertising and eight children. The school has been blessed each year since. It continues to maximize enrollment with approximately 170 children and a one to two year waiting list. Because of this constant growth, Ms. Tracey has launched a very special project that is much needed in our community, and could benefit even more families.
Currently, The Living Cornerstone Church, TLC Kids Care is certified Early Childhood Development Center. To say the least, we have outgrown our existing space. There is a great need in our Christian community that we currently cannot fulfill. The new building will fulfill many needs for our children. We will have the classroom space to continue to grow and expand our education through Kindergarten , utilizing the ABEKA Curriculum. The Center will have additional space for our special needs children who need local services throughout the day from agencies within our community while parents are working. Our school will be able to work with children diagnosed with simple speech delays or impairments (mild to severe), all the way through (mild) autism and/ or (mild) Asperger’s. We will offer a fully serviced therapeutic room for these children. Every child should have the experience of a safe, healthy, learning environment in preschool. This building project is named the “I AM CENTER”. It will allow local therapists to offer services such as; speech, physical therapy, and occupational therapy, along with play or behavior therapy and trauma or family counseling.
The new facility will be a community resource for children and families, with the possibility of TLC also serving as an emergency shelter during Hurricane season. Multipurpose rooms can also be utilized to provide Saturday and Sunday “Back to School” physicals from some of our local chiropractors. The gymnasium will serve as a great opportunity for community interaction such as dance events, graduation ceremonies, basketball games, our annual silent auction fundraiser, karate, cheer leading, gymnastics, and weekly dance classes. A child will not have to attend TLC to utilize the facility for these outside services. Ms. Tracey wants to create a safe place to allow outside services for ALL children!
Message from Ms. Tracey:
I truly hope you will share in my vision and excitement. If you are, or know a building contractor, land clearing company, framer, painter, or handyman/women, I need your help. Even if you are a private business or company that would like to donate materials or services, or if you have ideas or know, someone who you think might want to get involved, please let us know. Everybody knows somebody. All proceeds and donations will go towards the new building and are 100% tax deductible.
I am very blessed and honored that God has given me this area of ministry as my gifting. Most of all, l am thankful for the opportunity to be able to impact children of the next generation. Growing up should be FUN!
