Maisie is climbing Mount Snowdon!

From Maisie:
My bat mitzvah is next year. The Hebrew word 'mitzvah' means 'good deed'. I would like to do something challenging to raise money for a charity I strongly believe in. I am going to climb Mount Snowdon in North Wales on the 1st October 2022. Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and England, at 3,560 feet. I'm raising money to benefit Grief Encounter...any donation you'd like to give will help make an impact. Grief Encounter provides professional support to grieving children and young people in the UK following the death of a loved one. Although I am so lucky not to have lost any immediate family, it is impossible to imagine what that would be like, and my heart breaks for any child that has to go through this. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Think of me on October 1st, staggering up a huge mountain, while you are enjoying your morning coffee! Thank you!!!

More information about Grief Encounter:
Grief Encounter provides professional support to bereaved children and young people in the UK following the death of a loved one.
Children often feel lost and isolated following a significant bereavement, they can believe everyone close to them will leave them or die. The emotions experienced by a grieving child can have life altering and long lasting negative impacts on a child's development. Children in this mind set need appropriate intervention to work through these feelings.
